HOA Management in Alaska

One of two non-contiguous states in the U.S., Alaska has an estimated population of 740,133 residents. Despite being the largest state by area, it remains the third-least populous state in the country.

Alaska is known for its natural resources, including natural gas and oil, as well as commercial fishing. With a small yet rich economy, the state boasts one of the highest incomes per capita in the United States.

In terms of outdoor recreation, Alaska does not disappoint. In fact, tourists have been known to visit the state thanks to its national forests, wildlife refuges, and national parks. Notable attractions include the Kenai Fjords National Park, the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, Mount McKinley, and the Denali National Park and Preserve.

Additionally, Alaska has a vibrant arts and culture scene, owing to its diverse population, of which 22% is Native American. The state also hosts several annual events, such as the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race, the Sitka Whale Fest, the Blueberry Festival and Alaska Hummingbird Festival, and the Stikine River Garnet Fest.

Considering its small population, Alaska does not have many homeowners associations. In fact, fewer than 1,000 HOA communities are located within the state.
